We will be moving to a new start time on March 21. We will start at 9 A.M.

The reason for this change is that I have been asked to serve the Methodist church in Evans. Their service will be at 11 A.M. This should give me time to talk to people for a bit after the service at Pierce and then still make it to the Evans service on time. (It ...

I am looking forward - with great excitement - to seeing everyone again on the 12th!

The reopening committee has been working very hard to make everything safe for us.

I want to thank Megan for preparing Sunday school activities every single week during the shutdown period. She has demonstrated a great love for the kids of our congregation!

Our target date for reopening is July 12. There is a chance this could change, so please keep an eye on this blog. I will post any changes.

We will open with some restrictions, for safety. They mostly involve making sure we don't get too close to each other, that we use masks, and that the Sanctuary is properly sanitized.

But we ...

This is what the ESV says happened to the Apostles at the beginning of their quest to spread the Word throughout the known world:

When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. And divided ...

Many of you are probably wondering about the timing for the reopening of the church. There is a committee actively working on this. To reopen safely, there are a number of things that we must do, such as sanitize the sanctuary. We also have to follow guidelines from the United Methodist conference and from the government. At this time, we do ...

I'd like to ask for a special prayer for our daughter, Martina, who is a hospitalist (M.D.) at Denver Health, the big public hospital in Denver. She is working almost solely with Covid patients. She is young and healthy, and our hope is that if she does become sick, she'll be able to handle the infection. But we still worry and pray for her each ...

Remember that there is a new Pierce United Methodist Google hangout that you can join. We will periodically get together during the week just to chat, either by text or video. Just send me your Gmail address and I will add you to our hangout list. Then, I will let you know when we are all going to be online.

If you don't have a Gmail ...

I want to give a special thanks to the people who have continued to keep this church running while we have been in isolation. Janice has done a great job of helping the church maintain financial viability. Megan has continued to prepare detailed, creative lessons for the children, and she has been very active maintaining our Facebook page. Geery ...

I enjoy making these services for everyone, but it's no replacement for seeing everyone on Sunday morning.

It would be fun to hear from some of you... Send email or phone me... I miss you all so much!

I'm trying to call members of our church during this period of social distancing.

I don't have a phone directory for our church.

Please send me the name and phone number of anyone in our church whom you think would like a call from me. They don't need to be isolated or in any particular need - I simply want to call anyone who would ...

It's very frustrating as a pastor to not be able to see everyone in person on Sunday mornings. I have called a number of you.

Posting video services is the best I can do right now, and I welcome any and all feedback. The videos are getting a lot of hits, and I do appreciate everyone watching them. Please remember that I am accessible ...
